Founded in 2006, Time In brings children out of underserved classrooms and into the world of the living arts every week of the school year, as part of their regular school day.
Time In students have visited over 100 major exhibits: from Murakami and Tomaselli at the Brooklyn Museum to Ernesto Neto at Tanya Bonakar and Yayoi Kusama at Gagosian, to Maurizio Cattelan and Gutai at the Guggenheim, to William Kentridge and DeKooning at MOMA. Time In’s Chelsea gallery is an art haven for our students, who spend the alternate weeks immersed in opera through hands-on art.
The Time In Children’s Arts Initiative is entirely funded through the generosity of individual donors, and foundations, as well as support from The National Endowment for the Arts, The New York State Council of the Arts, The Catalog for Giving, The Lincoln Fund, E.H.A Foundation, The Heart & Soul Fund among others.
